The application of distillation equipment in the distillation process of alcohol formation is basically to separate alcohol from water. The formation of alcohol involves the boiling of alcohol. Alcohol usually starts to boil at a lower temperature than water. Therefore, when alcohol is heated, the vapor of the alcohol first begins to evaporate, and when they cool, the condensate contains a higher proportion of alcohol. The distillation process in the alcohol formation process is completed by the process of column distiller and tank distiller. In the formation of alcoholic beverages, the distillation process involves the completion of the fermentation process.

The distillation process in alcoholic beverages is the technique of making and forming alcohol. The same distillation process is carried out with the help of distillation equipment for perfume, oil formation and water purification. The process of making alcohol through distillation is a complicated process. However, it follows a very basic and simple chemical process. The process involves boiling ethanol before water. Ethanol starts to boil at a lower temperature than water. Therefore, the evaporation process of ethanol will occur first. In this technique, the fermentation of liquids is due to different liquids having different boiling points.

The boiling point of water is 100 degrees Celsius, while the boiling point of ethanol is 78 degrees Celsius. Therefore, during the heating process, water and ethanol separate from each other. Since the evaporation time of water and ethanol are different, the cooling time of water and ethanol is also different. When they cool, they condense again and convert to liquid form. However, the liquid conversion time of ethanol and water will be different. Due to the difference in time, we can easily separate them and collect them in different containers. The collected liquid that is first transformed in liquid form will have a higher ethanol concentration, or you can say that it has a higher proportion of alcohol compared to the initial mixture of ethanol and water.

The ethanol distillate is collected in three stages. The first stage is the front stage or also called the head stage. The second stage is the heart, and the last stage is called the tail, or you can also say fake movements. The collection of distilled ethanol liquid is separated into three phases called fractions. The distilled ethanol liquid collected in the three fractions has different levels of congeners in each fraction. Most of the time, the head and tail fractions are re-distilled because they contain very high alcohol content and are too toxic. As the end result, the formed alcohol is called spirits. Further distillation processes include tank distillation and tower distillation. The type of distillation depends on the type of spirit formed.
