DEGONG beer brewhouse system can be designed according to different brewing requirements of customers. If you brew high-concentration/gravity beer, more malt is needed compared with low-concentration beer. In this case, we will increase the diameter of mash/lauter tank of beer brewhouse to increase filtration efficiency.Traditional mashing methods are available too – whether it is an “infusion” method or a method of “decoction”.
The 2-vessels 3BBL beer Brewhouse consists of two special tanks: Mash preparation-Lautering tun (M-L) and Kettle-Whirlpool tun (K-W). Both tanks are able for heating, which gives brewers multiple opportunities to mash with different brewing method. Small dimensions and well-thought-out piping system of the “3bbL brewhouse” breweries makes the workflow simple and convenient.
Mash/ lauter tun
In it you mash your malt and extract your sugar from the raw grain.
It will also serve as your lauter (lauter is to wash).
After the mash, run a specified amount of water through the mash to bring the volume of the wort up to capacity.
After filter,there will be a wort pump to transfer wort into the kettle/whirlpool tank. The kettle/whirlpool tank with a steam jacket of an electric heating tube to heat.Steam is more efficient.The kettle also have the function of whirlpool.The thermal coagulum will be concentrated on the bottom of the tank by whirlpool and discharged through the sewage outlet.
A hot-liquor tank is for bulk hot water heating. Its primary role is to heat water for mashing.
Your brewhouse pump will transfer your raw wort through a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger is a tall block-shaped device made of layered plates. The first heat exchange between the hot wort and the city water get 50-60 degree wort, and then the second heat exchange between the wort and the glycol water get the temperature needed for fermentation.
Based on the heating method,the brewhouse can be divided into electric heating,steam heating and direct fire heating.
1.Electric heating is suitable for the micro brewery equipment from 100l-1000l.
2.Steam heating is suitable for commercial brewery equipment above 1000L.
3.In some area,the electric is very expensive,and the use of steam is very strict,then direct fire heating is a good choice.
Base on the material,the brewhouse can be divided into copper brewhouse and stainless steel brewhouse.
1.For commercial brewery or some beer brewing factory,most of them will choose stainless steel brewhouse.
2.For some public place,such as hotel,restaurant and brewpub....the copper brewhouse is a good choice.Red copper brewhouse can be shown and attract more customers because of its beautiful color.But the copper brewhouse is more expensive.
Of course,these just are recommended according to normal condition,all of our equipment can be customized.
Material Of All The Tanks
1.The raw materials is SUS304 and SUS316.Interior stainless steel 3.0mm, exterior stainless steel/luxury red copper cladding 2.0mm;
2.The polishing standard of welding is ＜0.6um. All of connection required turn up workmanship and all of welding seam required polishing, which is more smooth tank surface. We’re very serious about the excellent appearance of tanks.
3.Insulation layer: Polyurethane or rockwool, thickness 80~100mm
4.Volume: Working volume and 20%-30% additional space.
