Pasteurization is a rapid sterilization method discovered by French chemist and microbiologist Louis Pasteur in 1864. This sterilization method is characterized by quickly killing a large number of microorganisms while retaining most of the flavor. Therefore, this method is widely used in the post-processing of food and beverages such as beer.
There are many methods of pasteurization, such as pulsed electric field pasteurization, high-pressure pasteurization, tunnel pasteurization and flash pasteurization, etc. Currently, tunnel pasteurization and flash pasteurization are commonly used in the market.
Tunnel pasteurizers and flash pasteurization are effective methods for pasteurizing liquids. The difference between these two pasteurization methods is that flash pasteurization pasteurizes the product, not the package. During tunnel pasteurization, both the package and the product get pasteurized.
