Before filtering, the filter pack or module should be rinsed with 50 L/m² of clean water. Depending on the porosity and application, the filter plate will be depleted as the pressure difference increases. The maximum pressure difference depends on the filter plate used. For sterile filter plates, the maximum pressure difference is lower than that of coarse filter plates. For the coarse filter plates in the filter press and lens module filter, the recommended maximum pressure difference is 2.5 bar. In the case of alluvial filtration, the minimum flow rate is 350 L/m2×h. Hot water (85 °C) or online steam (125 °C) can be used to sterilize the bed linen. Please refer to the special instructions for these purposes.
